Praia do Preá is one of Brazil’s best kitesurfing spots: strong, steady wind, plenty of space and all the infrastructure of the Jericoacoara region just a few minutes away.
The wind in Preá
The wind is side-onshore, blowing from July to January and ranging from 20 to 35 knots. It is a constant, safe wind: side-onshore brings you back to the beach, ideal for downwinders and for riding with peace of mind, from beginner to advanced.
For every level
This Mecca of kitesurfing is also a place for those just starting out. You will meet people from all over the world and instructors who teach in Spanish, French, English, German and Italian. For experienced riders, we recommend schools and agencies that organise downwinders.
Downwinders and nearby spots
Preá is part of the Jericoacoara region, a world reference for kitesurfing. Classic downwinders start from here toward Guriú and Jeri. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, we connect you with the right schools and agencies.
Work in the morning, kite in the afternoon
